S2 Studies of Erasmus Scholarship, Prildy: Here, the thrill If You Study in Portugal!

Hello! I Prildy, originally from Jakarta. Now again finish S2 majoring in Computational Logic at Universidade Nova Lisboa, Lisbon. My college scholarships EU Erasmus Mundus program. Oh yes, sbelumnya I've studying in Germany and Italy as well (the 1st half and 2nd semester). New in this academic year I moved to Portugal to finish my S2.

What are the advantages of the campus you in Portugal? Perhaps in terms of amenities, comfort, bureaucracy, or other things.

The surplus lies in the relationship between professor and student. Here I close very same professor who became my supervisor. We always chat when coffee break . Beliaupun not hesitate to help the technical difficulties that I experienced. Moreover, on this campus I found a lot of research topics practical interest.

What are the reasons that made you interested in taking Computational Logic fields of study that you are involved with?

I never get a similar study in the field of Computational Logic when I was still in college S1. However, at the time the lectures given merely introductions. I am quite interested in this course so I tried to apply for Erasmus Mundus. The difficulty is that at the beginning of my lecture, what is taught is the mathematical theories of fundamental importance. I have difficulty understanding because of my mathematical background are less powerful. The solution that I take is to group learning. By learning group, we can teach each other and are motivated to learn more.

What the heck, surplus countries Portugal do you think?

Countries Portugal is one of the countries in Europe where people are friendly. I ever got lost looking for the address of a building on campus, when I asked, the person drove me up to the building.

As an overseas student, what the ups and downs that you feel when away from home?
Like grief is related to culture. I can see the various cultures that exist, because my program is an international program, so friends of the majors I was very diverse. Her grief is to adapt to the new culture, because the culture is different so it is more difficult to adapt to the environment, make friends, and others.

What kind of experience interesting, unique, and boring that you experienced during in Portugal, and probably can not be forgotten?

The most boring experience is when waiting for the bus. The transport system here is still bad, though its facilities are already available, but the scheduling and-management is poor. The bus that I used to go to college only 1x / hour. I even had to wait more than one hour because the bus did not arrive at that hour.

What about the typical food of Portugal? If it matches with the tongue of Indonesia, and you in particular?

When it comes to food, I prefer to cook for yourself rather than buying food outside. In addition to save money, so I can adjust the taste of food with my tastes. In Portugal includes easy to customize. They are a lot of selling rice at a relatively cheap price compared to Germany and Italy. To get the spice is very easy in Lisbon, there are many Asian shops here.

How youth culture there? Especially those who are the same age as you?

As far as my observation, there are two types of lads here. First, the young man who likes to party, they prefer to spend their nights and weekends outside and socialize with their friends. The second is that not too fond of the party , they spend most of their time at home, and almost every weekend to return to their hometowns to meet their parents.

How is the cost of living in Portugal of the cost of transportation, food, housing, tuition, books, and entertainment?

For the cost of living in Portugal is quite cheap compared to other countries in Europe. However, the cost of transport in Lisbon is more expensive compared to other cities in Europe.

As an illustration the cost of renting a place to stay here a standard 200-300 Euro. Monthly subscriptions are 30-50 Euro transport in the city. One meal in the school cafeteria 2-4 euro. Once a meal at a restaurant standard 5-10 Euro. A ticket to the movies here ranges from 8-10 euros. For textbooks, I still never buy, prefers to find material on the internet and learn from slides provided. If necessary the book, I feel pretty borrowed at the library, usually always provided with sufficient stock.

Are there any messages or motivation would you like to convey to the reader berkuliah.com who want to study in Portugal?

The messages were from me, do not ever feel insecure. If you really want a lecture to Portugal or any other country. Start stepping, find out about the subject that interests you, how to apply, if necessary, send-email to the professor concerned.
